Quality + Value: Our US Wings Current Issue A-2 is based on the latest USAF A-2 pattern (which is an update of the "second generation" A-2s issued in 1987). Although it features a number of functional & comfort upgrades, this jacket is still unmistakably an A-2, a classic jacket originally adopted by the USAAF back in 1931.
The current issue pattern includes side-entry handwarmer pockets (the first military-issue A-2 to include this as a standard feature), two inside wallet pockets, an interior double slotted pen/pencil pocket, underarm gussets for freedom of movement, and side panels for a more comfortable fit. Other features include a premium dark brown goatskin shell, two front snap-flapped cargo pockets, a snap-down collar (which secures the collar against prop or jet wash — or just a strong wind), an exterior windflap that conceals the solid antiqued brass zipper beneath it, a one piece back, knit cuffs & waistband, shoulder epaulets, and a poly-twill lining.

 These are genuine US Military-issue driving gloves. Light in weight, with minimal bulkiness, these gloves offer excellent dexterity. Although they are not Nomex, they do offer flash and flame protection for your hands (8 seconds of protection from 400-degree heat). Jeep Cap

The first "jeep caps" were issued in 1942 during WWII. They were meant to be worn under a soldier's steel helmet to add more comfort & warmth and proved to be very popular with the troops. Cpl. Radar O'Reilly from the TV show M*A*S*H and Sgt. James Kinchloe from the TV show Hogan's Heroes can be seen wearing this cap.
Our jeep cap is the current genuine government-issue version of the original. It's made in the USA from 100% wool to Dept of Defense specs, but differs from the WWII originals in the following ways: it's much deeper than the originals, allowing the cap to be pulled down lower without the need to pull down the cuff; the cuff also extends around the entire cap instead of from the sides of the brim; it features four darts at the top instead of the six dart "starfish" pattern of the originals; sizing is "one size fits all" instead of the S-XL sizing of the originals (modern yarns are more elastic than yarns from the '40s, allowing one cap to fit a wide range of head sizes); and the color is true olive green instead of the more brownish khaki-olive of WWII (also available in black). While there are many jeep-style caps that copy the government-issue version, many of them are cheaply constructed imported knock-offs made from acrylic instead of wool. But our jeep cap is the real thing! Genuine government-issue and made in the USA! Colors: olive green or black.
Laundering: hand wash in cold water, flat dry. DO NOT machine dry.
