 The US Wings Signature Series™ ANJ-2/G-2 Flight Jacket is our reproduction of a lost classic! The ANJ was developed in 1943 by the USAAF as a replacement for the venerable A-2. It was a joint venture between the Army and the Navy (AN) to create a standardized aviation jacket (J), but was never officially adopted by either service. The AAF ultimately abandoned leather flight jackets in favor of cloth and nylon flight jackets until the A-2 returned to duty in the late 1980s. Our ANJ-2 differs from the ANJ-3 in the lack of an outside wind flap and inside snap map pocket (ours has the more practical inside wallet pocket).
Although the ANJ-2 (G-2) style was never officially adopted for military service, it is still an outstanding flight jacket! In many ways, it is very similar to the USN G-1, but without the mouton fur collar. Our reproduction G-2 has the original-style button-thru front patch pockets (with the added convenience of side-entry handwarmers), full-cut body and sleeves, and belted bi-swing back and double gusseted underarms which give unrestricted freedom of movement. The premium New Zealand lambskin leather is soft and supple and the antiquing process gives the jacket a patina of age that would normally require years of wear. The antiqued lambskin is dark brown with lighter reddish-brown highlights on the seams and mottled throughout the body. The result is a more subtle and natural-looking aged appearance compared to our "vintage" jackets, and will only look better as it ages! The lack of a fur collar makes our G-2 the ideal three season jacket and the ideal jacket for those of you who like the styling of a G-1 but prefer a leather collar. Our G-2 also features a 50/50 nylon/acetate lining and an inside pocket to safely stow your extra gear!
Our Signature Series Antique Lambskin G-2 is an outstanding jacket in every way, and its uniqueness sets it apart from the typical A-2s and G-1s that most people are familiar with. The G-2 is a lost classic indeed... but thanks to US Wings, it is not forgotten! Made in the USA exclusively by US Wings.

Antique Lamb "Top Gun" G-2

After receiving many requests for a Top Gun-style jacket, but without the warmer fur collar, we decided to create our own using our Antique Lambskin ANJ-2 (G-2). The G-2 is an ideal 3-season jacket, very similar to the US Navy's G-1, but lacking the fur collar and inside wind flap. We've added several colorful patches, resulting in our "Top Gun" G-2! Features include a belted bi-swing back for freedom of movement, and lots of pockets (two cargo pockets, two side-entry handwarmers, an inside pocket, and one hidden pencil pocket) to store all your gear. Made from premium antiqued New Zealand lambskin, which is designed to age rapidly as you wear it, giving the jacket that veteran appearance. A truly stylish jacket that looks fast, even when standing still! Made in the USA, exclusively from US Wings.

The US Wings Goatskin G-2 is the ideal year 'round jacket. The lightweight goatskin leather is half the weight of lambskin, allowing you to wear this jacket even during the warmer months of the year. During the colder months, its full cut allows you to easily layer it over a sweater for extra warmth. The non-vintage goatskin leather is great for casual wear, but also better suited for those more "formal" occasions where a vintage-look jacket would be inappropriate. For all its lightness, this jacket still retains all the authentic G-2 features, including: bi-swing back, button-thru front cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, an inside pocket, and a hidden pen/pencil pocket.  The Raider G-2 is a classic military-styled jacket. It's constructed from soft & supple vintage lambskin for a subtle aged appearance and features two front zip-top cargo pockets with side-entry handwarmers, inside pocket, bi-swing back for freedom of movement, inside wind flap, a satin "escape map" lining, roomy full-cut fit, heavy duty brass zipper, and knit cuffs & waistband.
